Back in June, we made up a Summer Fun Checklist with all sorts of fun activities and outings to fill our summer days. Well, with only two weeks now until school starts back up again, I'm happy to say that we've been able to cross off quite a few things.
Look at all the things we've crossed off our list (and many of the others we're doing soon):

Just today, we were able to check off "Do a 1,000 PIECE PUZZLE". I'd picked up THIS United States of America puzzle
and it was the perfect "hard" puzzle for us to tackle. It had so many fun images and details about the U.S., that we were able to look at the box cover and get a good idea where each piece would go. My oldest daughter really enjoyed working on it with me (the other two helped a little bit) and it only took us a couple days. We plan on using some puzzle saver glue on it, putting it in a frame and displaying it in the playroom.

That's great! We just checked ours yesterday to and were pleased with how many we could cross off! You've done some big things too! We still have 3 weeks left of our summer, but we're getting there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea. I'll have to remember this when my kids are a little bit older and can help me make up a list of things to do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I will have to remember that for next summer.
ReplyDeleteWOW! You guys have been busy! What a cool idea to have a list. How did I miss this back in June???
ReplyDeleteHurray! Great job! You must have had lots of fun over the summer.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I definitely need to remember this for next summer. I LOVE how it's cute enough to display, and since it's displayable, you feel more guilted {er... more encouraged} into actually getting things done!
ReplyDeleteI so envy you on all those great activities that you did!!!

What a great idea of summer..! You guys must have had a lot of fun:)
ReplyDeleteHi...I know you did this awhile ago, but can you tell me how you made your checklist?
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole,
ReplyDeleteHere's the link to the original post I did on the checklist. Basically, I just came up with a list of ideas, wrote them on scrapbook paper, stuck on a few stickers and put them in an old frame with a glass front. We could check off each thing with a dry erase marker on the glass. http://www.cometogetherkids.com/2011/06/summer-fun-checklist.html
