Check it out...
Doesn't it look sooo much better? I found this bean bag cover at Bed Bath & Beyond, used a coupon and only paid about $10. If you have a similar stuffed animal collection, this is the time of year to pick up a cover to contain them ~ they are pretty easy to find with the back-to-college stuff in the stores.
All we had to do was fill it up...
Then sit back and relax with a good book!
It's a little "lumpier" than a regular bean bag, but still comfy enough to make a good reading spot. (Plus the room looks much better!)
Thanks, Marylea at Pink and Green Mama for this awesome solution! (Oh, and go check out her site, TONS of great ideas!)

What a great and affordable idea. I always think a bean bag would be great, but it's so big, but this way it would serve a great purpose.
ReplyDeleteI am so doing this! We just packed 2 big garbage bags full of their "favorites" that moved into the closet and another bag to donate. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing, the great pictures got my daughter on board!
ReplyDeletethis is such a good idea, but sharing it with my kids "THEY can't BREEATHE, Mom!" lol thanks for sharing, anyway :) Danielle - craftplaylove.com

ReplyDeleteperfect fix!! I really don't like stuffed animals..but my boys love them! I went with the cute IKEA holder net thing that hangs down from the ceiling..but I am loving this idea! Really cute!

ReplyDeleteWhat a super idea! I just started a linky party today for back to school ideas, fun organizing tips that might be helpful for homeschool families, and first day of school fun, and I would love for you to drop by and link this idea to the party! I think it is a very creative storage idea for helping keep a room neater and more organized!

This is BRILLIANT!!!
ReplyDeleteThis idea is great! Maddie has quite the collection and we store it in a toy box at the foot of her bed. I wish I would have seen this sooner. She would love a comfy place to sit and read. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have to do it now!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. They make special "beans" like this with a plastic window so you can see your toys... they are not cheap!

Genius! Thanks for the idea....
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI just love this idea.. we got a great deal at K-mart and bought an adult size for 5 off the child size. :) My daughter is super happy, too. THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteCan you re zip the zipper? I bought one from BB&B and you can not open it once you zip it closed
DeleteMegan, the one I got can be re-zipped. I doesn't have an actual zipper pull. You just have to slip a safety pin or something through the end of the zipper so you can pull the zipper open or closed again. Hope this helps.
DeleteGreat thanks!
DeleteHi! May I share your photo on my FB page? Thanks! I am at wholenewmom at gmail dot com. I'll link to your site :)

ReplyDeleteAlready been done a lot cuter too!
On my way to Bed, Bath, and Beyond in the morning with my coupon to purchase the cover. I was so glad to see this pin on Pinterest. Now we don't have to get rid of the cute stuffed animals that end up all over the place. Thank you...thank you...thank you.
ReplyDeleteI just got my BBB sales flyer in the mail and saw the bean bags wondering if animals would fit in the opening. Thanks for taking the guess work out of it for me. You saved me a trip to the store! I know what my girls are getting for christmas!!
ReplyDeleteWow so clever!!!
ReplyDeleteI've found with my granddaughter that if I put her animals in bins/buckets/drawers, she doesn't play with them...just another thing to store. But, when "out and about", she picks some out everyday to play with. My guess is that if I put her animals into this, she would never play with them again! May as well just give them away....
ReplyDeleteThank you for this idea! This really worked, got our stuffed animals out of the garbage bag and into something useful. The bag cover only cost me $4.
ReplyDeletei was just having this issue with my daughters room such a great idea!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make a cover today and put my boys stuffies into it! Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeletehey, all you haters writing comments like it doesnt work and its already been made- be quiet! she's just being creative and sharing ideas! this is awesome, thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteWhat an AMAZING ideas! Thanks so much for this my nieces have a TON of stuffies and no where to put them. This solves our problem :) -Kate www.west5thlove.com
ReplyDeleteAwe thank you! I seriously just ordered this exact bag a few minutes ago and the price was reduced to $7.99 and no shipping costs since I'll pick it up. Thank you, thank you for the wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteI seriously have convulsions when I enter my daughters room. The number of stuffies would fill a toy store and she refuses to say goodbye to any of them. I have been racking my brain for years as to what to do with them all and this is genius! I am running out to the store tonight to buy one. Thanx!
ReplyDeleteFound this on Pinterest quite a while ago, and finally put this great idea to use! We are cleaning up my kids' rooms this summer, and went to BB&B for some covers. They were on clearance for $7.99, plus I bought 2 and used the $5 off $15 coupon. 2 covers for $11! And now my kids' rooms look so much neater! Thank you for sharing this!
